This bronze sculpture of General de Gaulle, created in collaboration with artificial intelligence, goes beyond the representation of a man to question time and its relativity.
Although General de Gaulle is no longer with us, his political influence remains ever-present. His name spans decades and is etched into history. Much like this now timeless figure, the techniques used in this work establish a bridge between past and present.
Despite the time that distances us from the living model, contemporary technologies make it possible to recreate a faithful image with unprecedented precision. Installed on Rue du Général de Gaulle in La Madeleine, the sculpture faces his birthplace in Lille, just a few hundred meters away as the crow flies. A tribute that invites reflection on our relationship with time, memory, and legacy.
