APPARITION

Water in its solid state holds watchmaking mechanisms, freezing them for a moment. Like a magnet that has lost its magnetic forces, the piece disintegrates into a graceful sonority. A metaphor for life, this man is constrained by his environment, while his constant interactions with those around him have an effect on him: at times subtle, at times brutal. Yet whatever form they assume, these changes affect his imprint on earth.

« Every person is destroyed when we cease to see him;
after which his next appearance is a new creation,
different from that which immediately preceded it, if not from them all. »
Marcel Proust
